KOOL° SHIELD was designed by a long-haul truck driver that knew there had to be a better way. After opening his swing doors before backing into a loading dock, he couldn’t help but feel the blast of cold air pouring out of the trailer. He realized that meant it was being replaced by the 95° Houston heat.
He bounced his idea off the manager at his trucking company and the beginning of The KOOL° SHIELD was off and running. After some engineering, producing, and testing, the KOOL° SHIELD hit the market as a manual shield to protect the long-haul freight and keep temperatures consistent from loading dock to unloading dock.
As with many great concepts, the KOOL° SHIELD has evolved and is installed not only on swing doors, but also roll-up doors and side doors. Now Kool° Shield not only helps with long haul, but medium and short haul as well. Through customer feedback and more engineering, the electric Kool° Shield has become the most sought after temperature barrier on the market.
